Favicon for Squarespace

Squarespace exposes favicon settings under Design → Browser Icon (formerly Logo & Title). Upload a square PNG and the platform injects the correct <link> tags on every template page.

Prepare a 300×300 or larger PNG with a simple mark — Squarespace downscales internally. Avoid fine text that disappears at tab size.

Navigate to Design → Browser Icon → Upload. Squarespace accepts PNG and ICO; PNG with transparency is recommended.

Publish the site after changing the icon. Staging previews may not match the live domain cache.

Squarespace does not support separate dark-mode SVG favicons natively. For advanced setups, use Code Injection in <head> — only if you are comfortable overriding platform tags.

If the old icon persists, clear browser cache and test in a private window. Squarespace CDN updates within minutes for most plans.
